Hyatt Place Boca Raton/Downtown

Nice hotel- Complimentary breakfast is excellent. I slept well- the beds were comfortable. I didn't need to rentna car- as everything I needed was within walking distance - IF you like to walk! Nothing is super close, for walking - but the weather is agreeable & walking was pleasant from here! I came to Boca, for surgery and a new smile @ Done in One, and they set me up here. It's a great hotel- I didn't have any complaints!

Beds uncomfortable, The duvet sheets are extremely thin ..i walked in my room, it smelled like pee. I definitely felt very uncomfortable the entire time I had to go to target to get flip flops to take a shower in because the bathroom smelled like pee and there were stains inside the shower when I got there like they didn’t clean the bathroom. Smell of my room did not smell clean at all, it’s like they only tidy up the room for the next guest to get there. Definitely can’t stay again.

The hotel is very clean and the personnel attentive and friendly. However the hotel itself feels old. The rooms seem old, there is no view, the hotel is not close to the beach. It is surrounded by nice restaurants and maybe a good place to stop for a night or two, but it’s not a holiday hotel. It’s great value for solo business travel.

We stayed for 4 nights in January 2024. Location is good, walking distance to many restaurants, main shopping district close by and a short drive to the many beaches. Brightline a short distance away as well as many road connections. Check in went smoothly and we were allocated a room on the 15th floor per our WOH preferences, although sadly no sea view as we were the other side of the building. Room was clean and well appointed, bathrooms tiles are showing some wear and there were some minor stains on the sofa. A mini fridge, tea and coffee maker are standard although weirdly no safe. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a hotel without a safe and having read a couple of historical reviews that mentioned allegations of theft we decided to take any valuables with us when we left the room. The door also had to be slammed pretty hard to catch closed if you just let it fall it was still open so be aware of that when you leave. Rooms are serviced every 3 days but we didn’t bother with this and it was easy to call and ask for additional towels and anything else we needed. Front desk staff were friendly and the large lobby and reception included an area with Starbucks coffee and various snacks and food for purchase as well as a bar area. We didn’t see the bar open but assume it was and it also serves lighter bar snacks in the evening. Past the front desk, on the way to the breakfast area is a dog water and treat station as this is a pet friendly hotel and we saw a couple of small pooches! Breakfast was adequate with some minor changes daily but the usual toast, bagels, cereal, fruit and hot items and it was OK and staff were friendly in the main. We travel carry on only and so laundry is important to us and there was a coin laundry on the 15th floor. Not sure if there is one on each floor but to wash was $1.75 and drying $1.00 and detergent was also available for purchase. Parking is in a multi Storey parking lot on the lower levels of the building and accessible by your room key card, so make sure you have it before you try and drive up there! There’s quite a steep spiral driveway before reaching the parking levels and the roof clearance height I believe was 6 foot 7” so be aware if you have a taller vehicle. During our stay we had a fire alarm. This was a loud alarm in the room that was accompanied by voice instructions. We did call down to check if it was a drill, as we suspected it probably was, and were advised it was being treated as a real emergency. So we began the walk down 30 flights of stairs (there’s 2 flights per floor). Upon reaching the bottom, nothing. There’s no one directing things or telling us where to go so we went in to the lobby to find someone and found other guests wandering around too wondering what was going on. Some people even used the elevator to go back up to thier rooms. The fire department arrived and left after a few minutes and we were then told we could go back to our room. It was a false alarm, likely maybe triggered by the restaurant attached to the hotel, the lack of information and co ordination was extremely concerning had this been a real emergency. I’m hoping someone at the hotel will read this and address this with the appropriate training.

Great stay at this hotel in the heart of Mizner Park in Boca Raton! Hotel was close enough to the beach and even had a roof top pool area that also had a great view of the night sky. Hotel staff were amazing and respectful. Want to give a shout-out to Mark who helped us out, even got a room upgrade for our 1 year anniversary. Suite had an amazing view of Boca, nice and spacious, huge bathroom with kitchen, living and dining areas. All the rooms in the suite were exceptionally clean, had enough amenities that it will felt like you were at home. Enough space for us and our little pup to share comfortably.
